Cédric Aubert is CEO of geoProRegio AG, a company offering geolocation services for utilities, municipalities and any player engaged in the development of a smart energy world. Along with the decentralization of the energy system, the demand for geodata has grown dramatically. This demand should increase further with the development of renewable energies. Geodata has become essential to the planification, development, operation and maintenance of a new sustainable energy world.
Prior to his current position, Cédric Aubert was formerly a Member of the Executive Board at ewz (Zurich Municipal Electric Utility), Head of the Energy Economics Dept., responsible for the energy portfolio management. During that time, Cédric Aubert was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Energie Naturelle Mollendruz SA, a company founded to plan, build and operate a wind farm in western Switzerland. Deeply involved in the development of the whole project and especially concerned about its social acceptance, Cédric took a major part in the stakeholder management. He is also the initiator of the communication campaign “Je Suis Pour les Eoliennes du Mollendruz” (www.jesuispour.ch).
After studying physics at the ETH Lausanne, Cédric Aubert worked in the field of technical safety analysis in the nuclear sector before joining Swiss Re as Senior Data Engineer in the Credit Risk Department. For several years he worked at Axpo as Head of Market and Credit Risk Management before joining ewz in 2014 as Head of the Energy Economics Department and eventually geoProRegio AG as CEO late 2019.

Cornelia Daniel is a thought leader in the Austrian solar energy sector and runs the solar consulting and development agency Dachgold (Roof Gold) specialised in LCOE for solar energy in the commercial sector. Her academic education at the Vienna Business School of Economics combined with extensive personal research, numerous keynotes and more than 400 published articles in blogs and magazines about solar and renewable energy have made her the most well-known person in the industry. Charlie Donovan is Executive Director of the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School and Academic Director of the MSc Climate Change, Management and Finance. He is Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Finance. In his corporate career, he was most recently Head of Structuring and Valuation for Alternative Energy at BP plc, where he managed a team responsible for investment analysis for large renewable energy projects in North America, Europe and Asia. He was part of the strategy team that launched the alternative energy division in 2005, with a commitment from BP to spend $8 billion over 10 years, and participated in a number of strategic acquisitions. Charlie began his career as an Energy Policy Analyst with the US Environmental Protection Agency during the Clinton Administration and subsequently worked in principal investments at the Enron Corporation. His experience also includes several years in strategy consulting.

Under his lead, the Digital Innovation Office is actively supporting digital advances and technology diffusion in the sector and works on the adaptions of the regulatory regime for efficient renewable energy integration, energy efficiency and decarbonisation. Topics include energy data, its access and exchange, cyber security, privacy, decentralized systems and DLT as well as the integration and use of digital technologies, like e.g. artificial intelligence, in the energy sector. Jörg Gasser has long-standing experience and a broad-based track record in domestic as well as international politics, diplomacy and financial market policy.
Following his studies in economics and international relations at the University of Zurich, he began his career at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where he led many negotiations in the Near and Middle East. In senior positions with the Swiss government, including Policy Adviser in the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Secretary General (Chief of Staff) of the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) and afterwards of the Federal Department of Finance (FDF), he advocated for a sustainable and competitive business location and financial centre as well as for lean regulation. Most recently, he was State Secretary of the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF). In this position, he played an important role in shaping the Swiss financial centre. In 2018, the magazine Bilanz designated him a “digital shaper”, one of the leaders in digitalisation in Switzerland.

Jana is a PhD candidate and research fellow at the Institute for Economy and the Environment, University of St. Gallen, focusing in her research on customer acceptance of e-mobility. Prior to that, she concluded Double Master's Degree between Sciences Po Paris and the University of St. Gallen; her Master Thesis focused on ways how to communicate to increase pro-environmental behavior among consumers, tested on transport and energy sector decisions. The interconnection between transport and energy is seen across Jana Plananska's academic and professional career, with eight-month research conducted in 2016 at the University of Oxford on energy initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa, a year consultant contract at the Environment and Natural Resources Department at the World Bank Office in Madagascar in 2015 and a five month traineeship in 2017/2018 at the European Commission focusing on the implementation of EU transport policy.

Her research areas include consumer behavior, with a particular interest on solar energy and mobility, and energy policy. Julia has obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics & Management Science from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. After her Bachelor, Julia worked at the Bank of Montreal and did a 5-month internship at Navigant Consulting, in the Energy Practice. She has joined the Institute of Economy and the Environment in 2016 in the context of the European Union-funded Horizon 2020 research project "Empower - Local Electricity Retail Markets For Prosumer Smart Grid Power Services", where she has worked on developing new business models for the energy market. Doing research with a current focus on business models and managerial decision-making, he had visiting positions in Vancouver, London and Los Angeles. On the other hand Moritz holds various responsibilities in an own family business in Germany. Within both worlds he co-developed and co-launched new business models: After an early career as a musician, Moritz graduated with a M.A. from TU Berlin and received a doctoral degree in management from the University of St. Gallen.
