#REMforum #ourenergyfuture Photo Contest 2018

What does our energy future look like? Will electricity continue to come from a coal-fired power plant into the socket? Will we drive diesel cars tomorrow and heat our homes with oil and gas? Or will electric cars succeed, powered by the sun, wind and hydroelectric power? And what is the role of digitization?

We searched for photographs pointing the way to the energy of tomorrow - and people shaping the change. We were rewarded with photos that cheer up, make you think, and are simply beautiful or very critical. Every picture has its own style and its own statement, which makes it recognizable that people are dealing with the topic of future energy and have their very own perspective on this issue. This was not an easy task for the jury, but in the end, three winning pictures were identified.

And the winners are...

1st Winner

“Solar façade of a high rise in Freiburg i.Br.” by Daniel Schoenen

2nd Winner

“The future of energy alongside its past” by Christian Riefenberg

3rd Winner

“WE are #ourEnergyFuture” by Luca Schmid
